So, I'm trying to convert a sweatshirt outfit from uni for males into a top. But, I want the sweatshirt part to layer over the undershirt, like the sweaters that Amaryll made that work with high-waisted bottoms. In milkshape everything seems to be going okay. I have two groups with the same comments and they are called "top" and "top2" top 2 is the layer with the sweatshirt parts and top is the layer with the undershirt.

top:

top2:

both together:

but, here's how it looks in bodyshop:

I'm not sure what the problem is.. the bodyshop project file has both alpha .bmps and 3 different recoloring .bmps, 2 of which start with "top~" and only one of which starts with "top2~"
But one of the "top~" files seems to correspond to the top2 texture.

Does anyone have any ideas where I am going wrong? Thanks for any help!

I am of absolutely ZERO use, but I wanted to say that this is an awesome AWESOME concept you have come up with and are attempting, and I'm sure we're all going to download the HELL out of it when it's done. <3333333

Well, it's always good to hear that my efforts are worth it!
I hope it works out, there's just so much about meshing I still don't know. Dx

I second what Nett said, I know nothing about meshing, but I love the idea of the layering. :)
I hope it works out for you soon.

Thank you! I do hope it ends up working. I was feeling so proud of myself until I looked at it in bodyshop. xD

If I were you I´d try out using one of Amaryll´s tops as a base for the package. She names the first part "top" and the second one "noblend". If you name the t-shirt part of the mesh "top" and the hoodie part "noblend" and link it to a copy of an Amaryll-package it should work. I´m sorry if what I said didn´t make any sence. I love your idea by the way. It looks awesome.

Just bumping in to say that that does indeed work. I was just trying to separate a top yesterday and had the same problem. I used this OFB top as a base, and that did the trick.

I'll try to use the same top then, even though I'm working on a male mesh and that's a female mesh maybe I can go in wardrobe wrangler and make it show up for men..

Or you could just change the gender string from 0x01 to 0x02. I think using ww will work too, though.

I completely understand what you're saying! I was trying to make the seperate groups of the recoloring package manually, so it will be nice to not have to do that. xD
