Unshared CC Dump - Part II

Here's part 2 of my dump of unshared CC. There's still a tiny bit more to come, but I'm trying to share things in order of how "complete" they feel.



Here's a retexture of CatofEvilGenius's boatneck top. I believe the fabric overlay I used is by Trapping. I really just applied the overlay and then fiddled around to make some colors. Typically I lean on CuriousB's any color you like color actions, so I'm sure I did that here as well.

I shared this preview on tumblr years ago to see if anyone was interested, but I didn't follow through. Rented Space did the original mesh and I slimmed down the sleeves and added bare feet. I hand painted the entire kimono, then added stockings and a pattern. Two recolors, this one and a grayish purple. Categorized as sleepwear

Here's a retexture of Slig's dress for female elders. Some dresses are hand painted with a pattern added, others are just maxis tweaked textures. There are a few of these I'm not really happy with, so feel even more free than usual to delete the ones you don't want.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate! I still have some cooking to do this morning. Yesterday I put together 33 sweet potato pierogis from scratch (it took over 3 hours), and this morning I've already made chimichurri potato salad. I still need to cook the pierogies and make some gingerbread cookies.

Thank you so much for commenting! I've really appreciated your comments on all of my recent posts, it makes me feel like it's a good thing I'm coming out of my hiatus and that the sims community is worth being a part of. :)

I'm glad you like everything! I don't remember what possessed me to put so much effort into that kimono.. sometimes ideas for creations just come and I can't stop myself even if I feel like it's not really useful. I like the way it turned out in the end.

Wacky lemon got it's name because the pattern basically looks like a lemon dancing around. :p

The kimono looks great because it was meant to, in my philosophy sometimes art just speaks to the creator of it and says "make me great" and the creator must work until it is! This is how I justify spending multiple hours making CC previews. I swear. Heh.

And also, I love everything you make and have been a big fan for years, so I'm glad that you feel it's worth it - you're always on the front page of my Pinterest (as in, people I follow really really like your stuff too!)

I like your philosophy! Hand-painting textures can take such a long time, and that initial inspiration is key to getting through it. I really like your CC previews, so I think it's definitely justified. ;)

Yes! Thank you, I try to vary them up. My health did not provide me with a way to make them look good for months upon months but I decided, keep it simple :D

I think keeping previews simple is perfectly fine. Overly complicated and edited pictures can make it hard to see what you're downloading. I have a habit of cropping out my sims faces when I do clothing previews, so it's really just focused on what the download is. I think your style is perfect!

Ah, I didn't even check. I already had the preview so I just packaged the files and re-used the same preview without testing it again in game. I'll put a note there.
