I'm sorry I haven't been as active with my uploads and my updates. I have a Jayne update and I have a few things almost ready for download, but I'm really crunching for time. My schedule has become so busy in such a short amount of time. I haven't given up, though, and I'll be working on things at a slower pace, but I will be working on them. The Sims used in previews will be uploaded tomorrow.

These skins may not be to everyone's taste. I know I've seen some users using these genensims skins with facemasks or nosemasks and I decided I wanted to just have some skins that looked fine make-up free but still had those same effects the originals intended.

Credit:
The creators at genensims, peacht, ephemera, pooklet, rensim, jirka, clover, & tifa. [livejournal.com profile] yreenah deserves special credit, actually, because for the skin displayed in the middle, I used her "Crisp" skin as a base and didn't even edit any of the facial features, it was the perfect shade and the face had just the right effect I wanted.
I used Pooklet skins as a base for the other two bodies, and added in some rensim.
The faces of the outer two (the patchy ones) use bits and pieces from the other creators listed above.

Previews:

(female models are wearing a little bit of make-up, lipstick and eyelashes/shadow, but I've included the facefile for each of the faces so you can see up-close what the lips and eyelids really look like)

Download Custom
Download gen/town
EDIT: I would advise AGAINST downloading gen/town since they seem to pop up extremely often.

sims file share download custom

Enjoy!

woah! Fast comment!
I'm so glad you like it! I know these skins are a little off the "normal" scale, so it's great to know someone likes them!

Okay. So. Why are sims with horrible skin pigmentation issues REALLY CUTE in the sims?! These are GORGEOUS, and make me squee quite heavily. Beautiful, inspiring job!

And, okay, now to be THAT annoying person... ^_^;;; The hair Cybele is wearing? Could you point me in the right direction to download it? Even if its just "Dude, GoS, you noob!" ? ^_^;;;

I don't know why but they're just so cute! When I was making Apollo I was all "D'aww.. look at you with your little patches!"

Thank you for the comment, and I hope you enjoy the skins if you use them!

I hope you'll be able to find a use for them.. these skins are a little out there. Once I upload the sims, if you download them feel free to change their skins to something more natural!

And I think Apollo has elf ears, too, but the ones on Judith are made by Louis on his blog. Judith is very proud of her big pointy ears.

I love fantasy skins, if they're done well, which these are. I hope they come up on a newborn baby. :D I like Judith's expression, sort of reserved and other-wordly. Cybele is cute too, sort of shy looking maybe. And Apollo is just squee-worthy cute!

Amagawd. I can't even begin to express how much I love these. They're so unique. Drool worthy. As are your models!, they're gorgeous.

Oh wow, that's a wonderful photoshoot you did. You used those skins so well, and I really understood the message you were talking about. I'm so glad you'll be using these!

I do too, I just think they add so much to the game and feel of how anything is possible with the sims, you can customize your game to be however you want it, even if it doesn't make sense.

I'm glad you were able to read so much into them, that's pretty much how they are in my game.

Yesyesyes new skins! I've been checking your LJ every day for a new update. I think I'm getting addicted.

This is the kind of skintone that I wouldn't normally use in my game, but you make them look so good that I downloaded them anyway. I actually have a question about your fantasy skintones. Are they geneticized the way genensims does it, on another scale than the naturals, what is it again, naturals between 0 and 1, supernaturals between 1 and 2? Or are they in the natural scale?

Thank you so much for these!

Eva

I'm sorry it took so long to update!

I geneticize my supernaturals below the maxis pale skin which is I believe .1, usually at .05 or lower so that eerily pale sim families can have supernatural babies (this is because I use pale skins for vampires and whatnot).
You can of course change this with the wardrobe wrangler and a tutorial here:
http://community.livejournal.com/proneyeti/2597.html#cutid1

Most creators do geneticize supernaturals between 1 and 2, but that has to be done in simPE. (and I like Wardrobe Wrangler better)

These skins are set in the middle of the natural scale, around .45 - .55 so if you don't want your normal sim babies to be born like this, either swap them for the custom versions or re-geneticize them. :D

Gorgeous as always! Both the sims and the skins :) I always love your stuffs and i'm sorry i haven't commented on any of it lately. I am just not so much into a downloading mode atm, but i will come back one day and download all the gorgeousness i've missed. Are you by any chance planning on making the first and last skins into "normal" ones, without the face..spots? It's just a question, i am in no way asking you to do it just for me.

Absolutely brilliant. You really make a difference in my game. I've been waiting for these kind of blends for awhile. Thank youuu. :)

Don't worry about it, I haven't been able to post much lately myself because school has started up. ;D

I wasn't planning on it, but if you'd like me to make blends using those features (lips, nose, eyes) I'd be happy to. Would you like four blends, since those two skintones use 2 different shades each?

I'm so glad these are going to be useful, I wasn't sure anyone but me would want them when I was making them. Enjoy!

I like to keep my naturals separate from my supernaturals, so I geneticize them on the different scales. I always do it with SimPE, don't even have the Wardrobe Wrangler. I might try that for the naturals that need geneticizing, if it's easier. And I'll just regeneticize your supernaturals, takes only a few minutes anyway.

Thanks NC!

You're welcome! I'm sorry they weren't done the way you use them, it's just that in my game I have supernaturals and naturals really really intermixed and I just upload the geneticized skins that I'm using, the way they are geneticized.
Wardrobe Wrangler is nice because it's really fast and easy, for the naturals and to geneticize eyes, too.
