Genensims Skin Blends/edits
September 20th, 2009 11:38 pm
I'm sorry I haven't been as active with my uploads and my updates. I have a Jayne update and I have a few things almost ready for download, but I'm really crunching for time. My schedule has become so busy in such a short amount of time. I haven't given up, though, and I'll be working on things at a slower pace, but I will be working on them. The Sims used in previews will be uploaded tomorrow.

These skins may not be to everyone's taste. I know I've seen some users using these genensims skins with facemasks or nosemasks and I decided I wanted to just have some skins that looked fine make-up free but still had those same effects the originals intended.
Credit:
The creators at genensims, peacht, ephemera, pooklet, rensim, jirka, clover, & tifa.
I used Pooklet skins as a base for the other two bodies, and added in some rensim.
The faces of the outer two (the patchy ones) use bits and pieces from the other creators listed above.
Previews:
(female models are wearing a little bit of make-up, lipstick and eyelashes/shadow, but I've included the facefile for each of the faces so you can see up-close what the lips and eyelids really look like)

Download Custom
Download gen/town
EDIT: I would advise AGAINST downloading gen/town since they seem to pop up extremely often.
sims file share download custom
Enjoy!

Date: September 21st, 2009 09:27 am (UTC)This is the kind of skintone that I wouldn't normally use in my game, but you make them look so good that I downloaded them anyway. I actually have a question about your fantasy skintones. Are they geneticized the way genensims does it, on another scale than the naturals, what is it again, naturals between 0 and 1, supernaturals between 1 and 2? Or are they in the natural scale?
Thank you so much for these!

Date: September 21st, 2009 10:27 am (UTC)I geneticize my supernaturals below the maxis pale skin which is I believe .1, usually at .05 or lower so that eerily pale sim families can have supernatural babies (this is because I use pale skins for vampires and whatnot).
You can of course change this with the wardrobe wrangler and a tutorial here:
http://community.livejournal.com/proneyeti/2597.html#cutid1
Most creators do geneticize supernaturals between 1 and 2, but that has to be done in simPE. (and I like Wardrobe Wrangler better)
These skins are set in the middle of the natural scale, around .45 - .55 so if you don't want your normal sim babies to be born like this, either swap them for the custom versions or re-geneticize them. :D
